After a disappointing search for Bible-related toys for our children, we've designed a few of our own. We offer patterns for some simple homespun toys that will bring the Bible into your child's playtime.
Here's Baby Moses sleeping in his basket--turn him over and he's awake and smiling! Very easy-to-make felt doll and flannel blanket to tuck into a purchased basket. Our girls love him! Make in less than an hour!
This felt drawstring-bag fish swallows a 6" felt Jonah doll. Very inexpensive, very easy, and lots of fun! Can also double as a carry-bag for toddlers' quiet toys for church.
A set of 3 paper dolls. The woman becomes many different Bible characters with her 4 costumes. The man can dress as a priest, shepherd, king, prophet, soldier, or pharaoh. The Christian soldier can don all his Ephesians 6 Armor of God. Our children love these because, besides all the fun of cutting everything out, they also get to color it all! And they are great for story-acting! Days of Creation Sequence Puzzle A simple homemade puzzle that helps your child remember what God made each day. We supply pictures for the puzzle, and instructions. With felt pens or crayons, glue, cardboard, and a knife, you can make this puzzle, and others (we tell you how) at almost no cost!
